I just use a single edged razor blade and a pair of small, sharp scissors and can strip any kind of coax except hardline with those in about five seconds. The blades do wear out very fast, I pretty much use a new one for each strip, but I buy them by the gross and they're about eight cents each that way. Most of the good "automatic" strippers I've used, and I own several of them, aren't nearly as good nor as fast, and most of them do use a single edged razor blade installed and clamped into the rotary stripper.

All I have ever used is a pocket knife or an X-acto knife. With a little care you can tell when it gets to the braid so you don't cut it.
